About
The Golden Goat cannabis strain is a 70/30 sativa-dominant hybrid. It was created by cross-breeding the female Island Sweet Skunk with the male plant of Hawaiian Romulan strain.
Truth to be said, this hybrid was actually created by accident in Topeka, Kansas. Some breeders found that the male plant had fertilized a female one, which resulted in a colorful, pinkish strain with an impressive trichome production. The hybrid has come to be known as Golden Goat, and it happens to have a perfectly balanced set of effects with some soothing analgesic properties.
Golden Goat comes with moderate levels of THC, ranging between 16% and 23%, having about 1% of CBD in its genes. The high intensifies gradually, starting with an energizing buzz, typical of sativa varieties of marijuana. Users often describe this stage as a sensory enhancement. Next, the high turns into a nice physical relaxation that perfectly balances the sativa high, keeping its effects from becoming too overwhelming and disorienting.
More
Although the hybrid induces a powerful body high, it’s not as strong to freeze you in the couch – you can still stay active and energized, which makes Golden Goat a great choice for both daytime and evening use.
The Golden Goat strain produces medium-sized, dense buds that are bright green in color with some hints of red and pink hues. These buds are usually coated with resin and heavily sprinkled with amber-colored trichomes that give the Golden Goat its golden glow. The hybrid is also extremely appealing because of its complex set of aromas. The initial scent is mainly tropical and fruity, with some heavy citrus notes. When smoked, the bud smells earthy, spicy and dank.
As for the flavor, Golden Goat definitely comes with an interesting profile that some users describe as “incompatible”. Thus, many people believe that the “goat” part of the strains name refers to the taste of this bud. Although the taste is a bit tropical, sweet and citrus. Green Goat tastes acrid and strongly tickles the throat, which often leads to coughing. Thus, some people find this strain weird in taste, while others definitely enjoy its pleasant and unique terpene profile.
